Sounds good to us. Lunch time is good.

We are happy to offer the use of the 999 office at Centre Court for the inaugrual meeting, even supplying a few nibbles and drinks for those attending.

We fully understand that not every company will be requiring our services but that should not put people off coming along for a chat over a sandwich.

For us, a lunchtime would be best.

Can anyone offer any idea on how to approach the members of the main website?

Perhaps we could have regular meetings at each others premises giving the host the opportunity to showcase what they do to other businesses

Anything that gets businesses together and talking has to be good particularly if it encourages local businesses to use each other to improve the local economy.

How do we get started ?

agreed - although Lunch or after hours would be preferable for my team!!!

As a new member to this group, active in establishing a network of clients in the medway area, I believe that in order to get local businesses working together we need to provide a meeting point such as a breakfast club to allow face to face discussion on matters of local / national interest. From this relationships will form.

What can we do to generate an environment where local businesses work more closely together to generate more business for each other ?

The South East Apprenticeship Company (SEAC)  is a government funded Apprenticeship Training Agency that offers you a way of taking an Apprentice into your company without the commitment of having to employ them direct.  We take full and legal employer responsibility for the duration of the Apprenticeship, carry out the recruitment through to shortlist stage, free of charge, and allocate an Apprenticeship Support Consultant to you for the duration of the Apprentice's training.  The toal cost to you would be as little as £115 per week.  Apprentices:

  •  Provide you with a skilled workforce for your company's future
  •  Provide a cost-effective solution to your staffing needs
  •  Help reduce taff turnover
  •  Reduce recruitment costs
  •  Raise staff morale and motivation
  •  Lead to higher overall productivity

I would be happy to meet with your company and explore further how a SEAC and one of its Apprentices can support you in meeting your staffing needs and in your Workforce Development.  Call Irene on 07587 131 947
